4 Pines - Coolangatta

Stepping into the 4 Pines X Boardriders bar, just a short stroll from the sun-kissed sands of Coolangatta, the space feels like a cozy retreat, with its weathered timber cladding and exposed ceiling services that echo the rugged charm of the surf culture outside.

The bar has been clad in recycled timber which exudes a sense of sustainability and craftsmanship. Above, a blackened steel gantry adorned with growler bottles, apple crates, and lush plants adds a touch of industrial chic.

The large, blackened steel framed windows let in streams of natural light, illuminating the bespoke reclaimed timber back bar display. The scent of hops and malt fills the air, inviting you to sample the crisp, cold beer brewed onsite in the gleaming stainless-steel tanks.

You can’t help but admire the chalk artwork and the vibrant mural that bring the walls to life. The gentle hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses create a lively yet relaxed atmosphere, perfectly capturing the essence of 4 Pines’ raw and honest design style.

Every detail, from the corrugated tin-clad columns to the vintage lighting, reinforces the unique, sustainable charm of this bar. It’s a place where you can truly savour the taste of fresh, locally brewed beer while soaking in the laid-back, surf-inspired vibe of Coolangatta.

What 4 Pines love: “We love this location for 4 Pines. It feels like a home from home which echoes our surf beach origins of where it all started in Manly ”

What Interior Designer James Tray loves: “I love this venue for its mix of relaxed beach-side vibes and the fun we had weaving the 4 Pines branding throughout the design.”
