4 Pines - Marvel Stadium

A unique venue that perfectly encapsulates the brand’s commitment to sustainable hospitality design.

As you approach your eyes are immediately drawn to the reused shipping container that forms the heart of the bar. Its exterior, adorned with stencilled artwork and vibrant branding, stands out against the urban backdrop. The container, fitted out at Custom Cargo’s factory, was a logistical marvel, craned into position 14 meters high on the second level of the stadium. The reclaimed hardwood timber pergola, anchored by concrete-filled steel drums, adds a rustic charm and provides a shaded area for patrons.

The bar itself is a sensory delight. The weathered metal of the shipping container contrasts beautifully with the warm, natural tones of the reclaimed pallet timber tabletops. The steel drum bases, and branded keg stools add an industrial edge, while the festoon lighting casts a soft, inviting glow over the space. Neon signage and well-placed plants bring bursts of colour and life, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere.

As you settle in, the sound of lively conversation and clinking glasses fills the air, creating a dynamic yet relaxed ambiance. The clever use of materials not only adds to the aesthetic appeal but also tells a story of reuse and sustainability, core values of the 4 Pines culture.

Every detail of this rooftop bar has been thoughtfully designed to create a space that is both functional and inspiring. It’s a place where patrons can enjoy a cold brew while taking in the stunning views of the stadium and the city beyond, all while being reminded of the importance of sustainable practices.

What 4 Pines love: “We love the diversity of our offering and the potential of the relocatable container concept. When our lease runs out we can just pick it up and go!”

What Interior Designer James Tray loves: “I love the challenge of fitting all the bar equipment into the tight space of the shipping container. It looks great and we think pretty funky!”
