Rocks Brewing Company

Cradle Design was tasked with creating an industrial bar for the Rocks Brewing Company in Alexandria, a space that would overlook the brewery and expand their brewing capacity. The design also included a dog-friendly 800m² beer garden, making it a welcoming spot for all visitors.

As you enter the bar, the first thing that strikes you is the raw, industrial aesthetic. The concrete floors are cool and smooth underfoot, while the exposed steel frames and roof construction give the space a rugged, unfinished feel. The air is filled with the faint hum of brewing equipment, a reminder of the craftsmanship happening just beyond the bar.

The bar layout, meticulously planned with the head brewer, seamlessly integrates the brewing equipment into the space. Stainless steel tanks gleam under the industrial lighting, their surfaces spotless and reflecting the surrounding activity. The high-quality brewing equipment, sourced from the United States, stands as a testament to the commitment to excellence in brewing.

The bar and kitchen areas are designed with an industry-basic finish, complementing the overall industrial vibe. Reclaimed timber and metal cladding add a touch of warmth and sustainability to the space. The tables, constructed from reclaimed pipework and recycled timber tops, are sturdy and full of character, each one telling its own story.

The beer garden, a sprawling 800m² area, is a sensory delight. The scent of fresh grass mingles with the aroma of brewing beer, creating an inviting atmosphere. The space is designed to be dog-friendly, with plenty of room for pets to roam and play while their owners enjoy a cold brew.

Rocks Brewing Company’s new bar is a perfect blend of industrial design and functional brewing space, creating an environment that is both practical and inviting. The use of sustainable materials and thoughtful design choices ensures that the space is not only visually appealing but also environmentally conscious.
